How did I get here?

How did we get here?
To silence so maddening, I can almost hear your lingering memory

But I am limited
And my boundaries do not protect me from words unspoken and memories unmade
I am limited so I am incomplete
I am afraid of this notion because my dreams are limitless
And when your beautiful smile smiled at me everytime I closed my eyes, my fear grew

But for you my stubborn feet danced
They kept dancing as if they’ve danced their whole lives
And now they dance alone

‘We’re like moth and flame,’ I thought
And so, anticipating the same tale as old as time I burned before I even caught your flame
And when the wind took that flame, I burned for both of us

But my once presumptuous wings started to burn brighter in the heat
My once stubborn feet became weak, frail, and bruised
And now I witness as I fade to ashes a spark reigniting on your wick
All at the mere cost of stupidly and recklessly falling for you.

Changes are inevitable.

The lines such as "Once stubborn feet became weak, frail, and bruised.." confirm this. What a revelation!!!
